Psychiatric expert reports for abuse and clinical negligence claims
Clear, independent psychiatric opinion on diagnosis, causation, prognosis, treatment, capacity and the standard of psychiatric care, for claimant, defendant and single joint expert instructions. Free initial screening call and fixed fees with no hidden charges.

Dr Pradhan is regularly instructed by claimant and defendant solicitors where the psychiatric evidence needs to be clear, focused and usable in litigation. Her reports are written to the issues in your case rather than as general clinical summaries, and they answer the question behind the instruction, whether that is liability, quantum, capacity or future risk.
She is an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist in Birmingham with 25 years’ experience in psychiatry, and is FRCPsych and section 12(2) approved, APIL Tier 1 recommended and dual-accredited for claimant and defendant work. She is regularly appointed as a single joint expert, and her reports have been commended by judges for clarity.

Additional psychiatric assessments
One report, written to your questions
Each page above covers one part of the psychiatric evidence a claim may need. In most claims, diagnosis, causation, prognosis and treatment are dealt with in a single report, written to the questions in your letter of instruction.
A separate report makes sense where one issue is the whole dispute, where a liability opinion on psychiatric care is needed alongside a condition and prognosis report, or where a second opinion or an update is required. Send a short summary of the case and Dr Pradhan will say which report your case needs.
In clinical negligence claims, the opinion on whether psychiatric care fell below the standard is usually a separate liability report. The psychiatric injury, its causation and prognosis go in the condition and prognosis report.

Call 0121 752 6065What do the psychiatric expert reports cover?
The issues solicitors usually need answered: diagnosis, causation, prognosis, treatment needs, risk, capacity and functional impact, and in clinical negligence claims the standard of psychiatric care. Each report is written to the legal questions in your case. Send the issues or the draft letter of instruction, and Dr Pradhan will confirm what the report can cover.
How quickly can a report be provided?
The usual turnaround is 1–2 weeks from assessment, and urgent reports can often be provided in 2–5 working days where the papers and appointment can be arranged promptly. If you are working to a court deadline, include it in your enquiry.
Can Dr Pradhan assess a claimant under 18?
She assesses adults aged 18 and over. Where the claimant is still a child, the assessment can be arranged through the child psychiatrists in her network; call to discuss the case.
Does Dr Pradhan accept single joint expert instructions?
Yes. She is regularly appointed as a single joint expert and is dual-accredited for claimant and defendant work. She also answers the parties’ written questions on the report.
What are the fees and funding options?
Fixed fees with no hidden charges, and flexible or deferred payment terms where appropriate. Legal aid (LAA), CFA or insurance-backed, private, and council, court or CPS-funded instructions are accepted.
