Privacy policy
How we collect, use, store and protect personal data when you use this website, send an enquiry or instruct Dr Pradhan.

Who we are
For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller for this website is THRIVE TMS LTD. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean THRIVE TMS LTD.
Where information is handled as part of a solicitor’s instructions, the instructing solicitor may also decide how and why some of it is processed. In those cases each party’s role depends on the engagement.
The personal data we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, firm, telephone number and email address, the type of case, the funding route, the assessment location, any limitation or hearing dates and the summary you send, and the page of this website it was sent from. The Instruct page also asks for the approximate volume of records, the work you need and any other information, and lets you attach documents.
- Contact information: details you give us by email or telephone, including correspondence addresses.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser details, which reach our hosting provider and Google Fonts when a page loads, and, for 15 minutes after an enquiry is sent, a coded (hashed) form of your IP address used to stop spam.
- Website use: if you accept analytics cookies, how you use the website, collected by Google Analytics: the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
- Case-related information: information provided in connection with instructions or referrals, including the papers sent once an instruction is agreed.
The enquiry forms ask you not to include or attach medical records or a detailed personal history. Where health information about the person to be assessed is provided later as part of a formal instruction, it is special category data and is handled as described in section 4.
How we use personal data
- Responding to enquiries: replying to website enquiries, assessing requests and communicating with instructing solicitors.
- Providing services: managing instructions, professional communications, reports, scheduling, invoicing and administration.
- Website administration: keeping the website working, secure and free from spam, and, if you accept analytics cookies, seeing how it is used so that it can be improved.
- Legal and regulatory compliance: meeting legal, regulatory, court, tax and professional obligations.
The enquiry form sends your enquiry by email to Dr Pradhan’s office at info@doctorpradhan.co.uk. The website also keeps a copy of each enquiry, with any documents attached, in its own records, so that none is lost if an email fails, and a copy of each email in its email log, so that a message that fails can be sent again.
Lawful bases for processing
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more of these lawful bases: legitimate interests, where processing is necessary to run and protect this website and our services; contract, where processing is necessary before entering into or performing an agreement; legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information by law; and consent, where that is the appropriate basis. Google Analytics runs only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
Where health information is processed for medico-legal work, we rely on the condition for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims in Article 9(2)(f) of the UK GDPR. Abuse claims often include allegations of criminal offences; that information is processed under the legal claims condition in paragraph 33 of Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 2018.
Sharing personal data
We share personal data only where necessary, and only as much as the purpose requires. We do not sell personal data. Those we may share it with are:
- our website hosting, maintenance and technical support providers;
- our email service provider, which delivers the enquiry emails;
- Google, which supplies the fonts this website uses: your browser fetches them from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details and may be outside the UK. Google states that this service does not set cookies and that it does not use the information to build profiles of visitors;
- Google, which runs Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies and may process the information it collects outside the UK;
- professional advisers, accountants, insurers or legal advisers;
- courts, regulators, public bodies or law enforcement, where legally required.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, regulatory, tax, professional and administrative requirements. The period depends on the type of enquiry, the services provided and any continuing legal or professional obligations.
The coded IP address used to stop spam is deleted automatically after 15 minutes. Google Analytics keeps the information it collects for no more than 14 months.
Keeping data secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised people who need it for legitimate purposes, systems are protected with appropriate hosting, security and administrative safeguards, and we review risks and act if a data protection issue is identified.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data, in some circumstances;
- ask us to restrict processing, in some circumstances;
- object to processing that relies on legitimate interests;
- ask for data you provided to be transferred to you or another organisation, where processing is based on consent or contract and is automated;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
These rights are subject to legal limits and exceptions. To use any of them, contact us using the details in section 10.

This website sets analytics cookies only if you accept them. The cookie policy lists the cookies and explains how the fonts are loaded and how to change your choice.
This website may link to other websites. Following those links may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. Read their privacy notices before providing personal information.
